Why Lingual Braces?
There are some really good options out there nowadays; but for those who want to hide the fact that they’re undergoing orthodontic treatment, Lingual Braces are the best. These are the most invisible of them all! Lingual braces are strategically placed braces inside teeth so that nothing is seen from the front. You can go ahead smile, floss, and brush without a worry. No one will ever know you have braces on.
Your orthodontist will first scan your teeth to produce a 3D digital model of your teeth, which will be used to create custom brackets. Sophisticated rapid prototyping and CAD/CAM technologies are used to convert your digital model and help manufacture your braces. You’ll have your brand-new braces in about six weeks. Your orthodontist will then cement the braces to your teeth. After this, you will need to visit your orthodontist regularly for monitoring.
From a purely cosmetic perspective, lingual braces are the best option. Here’s why:
- Complete Anonymity: Even with ceramic braces, you can make out the metal wires connecting the tooth-colored brackets. Not so with lingual braces–in fact, unless someone was to ask you to open your mouth and peer inside, they wouldn’t be able to see your braces.

- Due to the fact, Incognito Lingual braces are a customized version of lingual braces, it will take an average of 6 weeks to receive your custom braces. Planning ahead will overcome such a disadvantage.
- Sometimes the positioning of the braces can make it tough to swallow or talk properly, but this occurs only in some patients, and usually does not last more than a week.
